CTAS Field Trips, Workshops and Events:
CTAS Field Trips
CTAS leads field trips in and around Central Texas.
Additionally, monthly field trips are planned at the Carleen
Bright Arboretum. CTAS collaborates with other
organizations, such as The Nature Conservancy, USCOE, The
City of Waco, and Master Naturalists, and with private
landowners who grant permission to provide a variety of
field opportunities. The general public is invited to
participate.
CTAS Workshops
Several times throughout the year CTAS offers workshops
to assist in developing greater appreciation and expertise
in identifying the many species which migrate, are resident,
and nest in Central Texas. Anyone who wishes to learn more
about the various groups of birds is invited to participate.
CTAS Workshops include, but are not limited to:
- Shorebirds
- Ducks
- Warblers
- Sparrows
- Raptors and Owls
CTAS Events
CTAS participates at events and celebrations in and about
Central Texas which promote stewardship of our locale
environment. CTAS participates in events such as “Gardeners’
Gathering” and “Beasts & Blooms and Earth Day”, and “The
Lake Waco Cleanup Day”.
