CTAS Field Trips, Workshops and Events:

CTAS Field Trips

CTAS leads field trips in and around Central Texas. Additionally, monthly field trips are planned at the Carleen Bright Arboretum. CTAS collaborates with other organizations, such as The Nature Conservancy, USCOE, The City of Waco, and Master Naturalists, and with private landowners who grant permission to provide a variety of field opportunities. The general public is invited to participate.

CTAS Workshops

Several times throughout the year CTAS offers workshops to assist in developing greater appreciation and expertise in identifying the many species which migrate, are resident, and nest in Central Texas. Anyone who wishes to learn more about the various groups of birds is invited to participate.

CTAS Workshops include, but are not limited to:

  • Shorebirds
  • Ducks
  • Warblers
  • Sparrows
  • Raptors and Owls

CTAS Events
